APPRAISAL SERVICES

Andrea Marquit Fine Arts writes appraisals of 19th and 20th Century works of art in all media for purposes of insurance, charitable donations, legal matters, resale and general evaluations.  Director Andrea Marquit Clagett has been a member of the Appraisers Association of America since 1982. Appraisals are compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), the set of appraisal standards promulgated by The Appraisal Foundation, through 2024.

Among the firm's appraisal clients or recipients of client donations are museums and cultural institutions throughout the US as well as several law firms and many private collectors.

Whether the appraised item is a single work by an unrecognized artist or part of an extensive museum-quality collection, each appraisal involves firsthand inspection of the work, condition evaluation, research and preparation of written appraisal documents.  Fees are charged on an hourly basis.
